Congratulations! You’re getting married!
Weddings & Vow Renewls
Your wedding; a day to celebrate your love story so far and your marriage here after. The possibilities are truly endless with a celebrant-led wedding! It’s so exciting!
Having a celebrant-led wedding means that your ceremony is not restricted by location and can take place wherever, whenever and however you so desire! You have the freedom to choose somewhere that feels right for you and your vision. From grand to intimate, more traditional venues to farms, beaches and forests. (Venues may still need standard permits for hosting events, such as a Premises License for alcohol or entertainment and compliance with local council regulations.)
Whether you choose a more traditional wedding or an alternative and eccentric wedding, even a themed wedding; I will craft a ceremony totally tailored to you, your story and your hopes for the future.
We will work together to create a ceremony that perfectly reflects you as a couple and your love for each other. This can present through tone, anecdotes and and humour but also through symbolic ceremonial elements, such as Handfasting, Wine Ceremony, Unity Candle Ceremony, etc. There are culturally rich symbolic ceremonies too, such as Jumping the Broom (African-American, Celtic, Pagan), Breaking Glass (Jewish) and Milni (Sikh). But your own ceremony can be as original and unique as you like!
Some of my favourite symbolic moments in ceremonies I’ve created are:
Planting A Seed together, using earth from each families gardens
A spiritual ‘prayer’
A sing-a-long song (with guests participation)
Surprise ring bearers (again, with guest participation!)
As an Independent Celebrant I believe in freedom of choice. I offer ceremonies for couples with a belief system, mixed-faith couples, spiritual couples and those looking for something totally non-religious.
I am based in South East Essex, UK, but I have a valid passport and am available to conduct ceremonies all over the world! (In the UK you will need to obtain your legal marriage certificate from your local Registrar's Office before your celebrant-led ceremony.)
It should go without saying, but, I am (more than) happy to marry people and couples of any gender identity and any sexuality. I am a bisexual woman and ally of the entirety of the LGBTQ+ community. The gayer the better, honey!
Here are some things you should expect from me as your celebrant:
Positivity! I’m a naturally joyous person and I love creating and performing ceremonies so expect big smiles.
FUN AND JOY!
Patience and kindness!
Creative flair!
Will probably suggest inserting musical elements wherever I can…
